Green Tech Jobs Workshop
Green Jobs "Let's Talk Jobs" Workshop
The informative "Let's Talk Jobs" Green Jobs workshop held on July 21st was a huge step forward for the IBEA and the upcoming Green Tech Campuses. Citizens of Warren County and the surrounding area had the opporunity to preapply for the jobs which will be coming to the area and learn about the steps needed to be trained and become eligible for these jobs. Everyone who applied and attends the training coming in August will be first in line to be hired for these jobs. Three sessions were held, and over 500 attended the event.
It was hosted by the Green Jobs Partnership, formed by The Warren Family Institute, The North Warren High School Alumni, The Warren County Public Schools, The NC Employment Insurance Commission, The Kerr Tar Regional Government, Industrial Staffing Inc., Vance Granville Community College and the Interstate BioEconomic Alliance.
Congresswoman Eva Clayton hosted the noon event. Many questions were answered and information given on the coming Green Tech Campus, and the people of Warren County have stepped up to help us bring the proposed campuses even closer to reality. Thank you to everyone who attended. Stay tuned to the IBEA for pictures and more information from the event, and futher information regarding the coming jobs in the region.
