AMSTA Meets at Granville Central High School to Discuss Program Design Possibilities

The Advanced Manufacturing Skills Training Alliance is made up of CTE Directors from Franklin, Granville, Warren and Vance Counties along with Vance Granville Community College. This group has received grants from the Golden Leaf Foundation and a Governor's Innovation program to increase career preparation opportunities for students in advanced manufacturing. This group met with a representative from the Southern Regional Education Board. This group specializes in providing career pathway models and curriculum. Lee ONeal, Regional CTE Coordinator from the North Carolina Department of Instruction was also on hand to hear the presentation. The group is looking at this model as a method to improve current programs.
