Career Day at the Warren County Armory

Ken Bowman, Director of Economic Development  partners with other agencies in the county to host a Career Day event for students in Warren County. The event focuses on opportunities for students that are looking for careers that may not involve attending a four year college. This year, 40 students from Warren County High School participated in the Career Day. Check out pictures taken during the day. Thank you to all the agencies and employers that participated and all others that were instrumental in making it a huge success.

Elected officials or their representatives spoke to the students about the importance of the career day event. 

Crystal Smith, from Warren County Cooperative Extension conducted a 30 minutes workshop on proper dress for an interview. 


Kyle Burwell, from Vance Granville Community College conducted a workshop on soft skills needed to succeed in the work place.  


Lisa Alston, from the Warren County Government Offices presented a session on Interview Skills. 






Victor Hunt, Chairman of the Warren County Board of Commissioners, talked with the students about Careers.


Warren County Sherriff, Johnny Williams talked about careers in criminal justice.
