Warren County Schools CTE Leadership Attends Work Based Learning Summit

The CTE leadership team attended the Work Based Learning Summit held in Durham last week. Governor, Roy Cooper was one of the featured speakers that discussed ways that business and industry to partner with schools to strengthen the relationship between them and provide a better trained work force. There were various speakers and breakout sessions during the day. The event was hosted by Fidelity Investments.

The Siemans Foundation supports Internships and Work Based Learning


Video conferencing was used to talk with several workbased learning partners in western North Carolina






These three  students developed their own app while in high school.






Governor Roy Cooper discussed the importance of Work Based Learning and introduced a new tool that will be used to connect employers and schools together to help match students with careers.
